Fall Food Drive for the St. Joseph's Food Bank launches on Thanksgiving weekend yearly until Christmas. Volunteers are manning booths at No Frills, Giant Tiger and Metro.
The need for continued donations of food and money is constant. Our active register is approximately 775 families. This number translates to 1035 adults, 378 children under 16 years, for a total of 1413 persons.
How can you help? Start a food drive at work or plan a fundraiser for the Food Bank.
If you are a franchise business,your head office may have funds available to donate to local charities.
As an individual, you can add a few extra groceries to your cart and donate them to the Food Bank. Fresh produce from gardeners is also gratefully accepted.
Christmas Basket Program registration starts in November each year. Clients who would like to apply for a Christmas Basket should come into the Food Bank any Monday during November between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm. Personal ID is required and also for those dependents in your home. If you need further instructions, please call 613 732 3807.
